Welcome
Why do this course?
About the course
We combine e-learning with online workshops and our wider Brave Starts events, networks and content for a comprehensive approach.
One size doesn't fit all. By keeping it small and utilising 1-1 meetings, we can to target and tailor things to your needs.
We don't share things we can't back up. We evaluate what we do to ensure impact
Our next workshops begin November 2022
About the Author - Lucy Standing
I'm one of the founders of Brave Starts (CIC).
I strongly felt the career coaching I was taught lacked practical application: I felt it was too much navel gazing without the teeth of practical reality: one of the main drivers to construct this hybrid course.
I've always worked as a psychologist. I do LOVE what I do, but here's the compromise: I don't get paid. Brave Starts is non profit and I'm a volunteer.
When I worked full time, it was for the investment bank and consultancy sectors designing assessment and development processes. For the past 10 years, I've specialised in mid life career development. I was voted by my peers to be Vice Chair of the UK professional body for Business Psychology (The ABP).
I'm a Chartered Psychologist, Associate Fellow of the BPS, Principle Practitioner of the ABP.
